It’s a hot and humid 31 degrees here in Taiwan, where I’ve just finished the printing for our next 5 books. I love to share our behind the scenes, so in this blog post, I want to give you a quick insight into the process so you can learn how our books are made, and pick up any knowledge that you might need for your own projects.

2016: Report from the Interior
It’s hard to believe it’s already the end of another year. I want to reach out to everyone who supported us in 2016, by buying our books, or even just by sharing our content online and offering us feedback. It’s been another year of growth and learning and I'm still really excited about the projects that we brought to life in the last 12 months, and for the next 12 months too.Â
New :: Taipei Diary :: Peter Bialobrzeski
We included an extract from Taipei Diary, as well as an audio clip of Peter reading the diary. Peter came to visit me in Taipei in August 2014 to print the first City Diary, Cairo Diary. During his stay he shot Taipei Diary, which is his visual diary of Taipei, once the de-facto capital of China.
Introducing TVC new series : Pocket Essays
Pocket Essays is a new series from The Velvet Cell. Each book is framed by a particular theme that relates to photography. The series is edited by Kyler Zeleny, author of Out West, which was published by The Velvet Cell in 2014.

The Velvet Cell at Tokyo Art Book Fair 2016
